This course aims to help filmmakers navigate the challenges brought about by the pandemic in the independent film industry. Participants will learn about COVID-19 protocols on low-budget films, raising financing in a limited distribution landscape, reshaping the film festival circuit, and rebuilding the independent film ecosystem. The course covers topics such as producer sustainability, equity and financing, and the business aspects of producing. The teaching method involves discussions led by experienced producers in the industry. This course is intended for independent filmmakers, producers, and professionals in the film industry looking to adapt to the changing landscape post-pandemic.
