Krassimir Kostadinov completed this course.
The course is excellent, but just an introduction to the topic, so anybody who wants a very deep, graduate level study might be disappointed.
Prof. Schiller is an excellent lecturer. The course gives a personal, close feeling of the himself, of Yale University, as well as of a range of extremely popular and interesting finance & economics professionals. Guest lecturers included Maurice Greenberg (former AIG CEO), David Swenson (Chief Investment Officer at Yale -- the Yale Investment Model), Laura Cha (Market Regulator Executive in China), Carl Icahn (activist investor), Andy Readleaf (Hedge Fund manager), Larry Summers (Treasury Secretary under president Clinton) and Stephen Schwarzman (founder of Blackstone group). -
Adelyne Chan completed this course, spending 3 hours a week on it and found the course difficulty to be easy.
I was really looking forward to this course but unfortunately was a bit disappointed by it. Prof Shiller is clearly very knowledgeable in this topic, and his teaching assistants Kai and Gautam did a fairly good job in putting the course together, but some of the guest speakers were not very good speakers - many were over-reliant on their notes which made their speeches hard to follow.
Perhaps one of the reasons for this disappointing nature of the course is the fact that it had been chopped up from a full-length course on OpenYale, I may one day try that out to see if it is slightly better. -
Yasha Fishman completed this course, spending 4 hours a week on it and found the course difficulty to be easy.
A "too-introductionary" course, as I see It, with a very basic informations about a somewhat large number of topics. The course is not filmed specially for Coursera, but professor's lections for Yale students were just cut off and put on the site - I was very disappointed by such a treatment. As well, It resulted in a low efficiency of material presentation.
Professor himself was very good: ineresting and understoodable. Guests were interesting as well, and presented their special points of view for some topics.
(P.S.: I have BA in Economics and have got nothing, but guests opinions from this course) -
Matthew Ludwig completed this course, spending 20 hours a week on it and found the course difficulty to be easy.
Awesome Introduction into the international world of finance from (probably) one of the most fascinating personality in modern finance - Robert Shiller.
I really liked that - after every subject - you could hear a famous guest speaking about the topic (for example George Soros).
Would recommend it for everyone who is interested in better understanding the financial architecture in which we are living in. -
Cyrus Pieris completed this course.
Good introductory course although I wish they had more reading material. One of the recommended books was quite expensive.it is great to hear Professor Schiller however I feel more effort should have been put into the questions as some involve looking for answers on the net.
Overall a good introduction as it covers some interesting history in finance so I recommend it for anyone starting to study finance. -
Anilkumar Panda completed this course, spending 3 hours a week on it and found the course difficulty to be medium.
This is a MUST do MOOC for all those interested in the world of finance. Apart from the nitty-gritties of finance , Prof Shiller gives his insights into various aspects of the financial world which is very usefull.
The course is not very difficult. -

I think it's very remarkable that a Nobel Prize teaches in such a good way to young people and it's been a very interesting introductory course. Maybe I expected more free further readings but this is only my view and it's still a very recommended course. I also appreciated a lot his view of a broader collaboration between economics and the other social sciences. -

Really enjoyed this class, Professor Schiller is a good and interesting lecturer. The video-editing is sometimes not great and there were a few dodgy questions on the quizzes. Overall a very good class. -
