The course will explore the leadership principles necessary during times of crises, and how these principles positively influence crisis management processes in healthcare. You will learn about the importance of self-care and communication strategies for leaders during disasters, and explore effective decision-making and the challenges of misinformation within healthcare settings. The course will also explore the need for post-crisis assessments and examine how crises impact infrastructure, community, workforce, and finances in the short- and long-term. Throughout the course, you will learn how to integrate lessons learned into future operations and discover how to conduct your own post-crisis assessment.
