Overview

The course will teach you about the value of planning for a crisis and the importance of ethics in any crisis. You will be able to understand the foundational concepts of an incident Action Plan and be able to articulate its objective. You will further explore the complexities of disaster planning and look at the ethical difficulties that COVID-19 presented in healthcare, as well as explore the considerations and challenges in disaster management. You will also learn about the importance and impact of emergency exercises for effective disaster management and the strength, weaknesses, and possibilities that they can offer. By the end of the course, you will be able to differentiate between various types of emergency exercises and how these can test an organization's capabilities, as well as understand what is needed to create an effective emergency exercise.
