Leaders emerge in all levels of work or organizational life. One’s capacity or success in leadership work is framed through that individual’s own personal sense of mission, the values that frame a commitment to the individual’s work, or the personal goals for a professional career. Leading others is a journey that develops over time and is based upon purpose more than position. This presentation will provide the attendees with a reflection on my personal journey, my successes and failures, and how this has evolved over time.

At the conclusion of this learning activity, participants will be able to discuss how a personal mission and the values that shape that mission, provide a strong foundation that supports an individual leadership journey in a professional career.
