Acrylic painting for beginners - making a lasting sketchbook of colour recipes and techniques

via Skillshare

Overview

Did you know there are at least four sorts of acrylic paint? I'll show you what they are and how you might use them. Ideal for beginners this class would also suit those of you who have dabbled in painting but not used acrylics before. You'll be watching me prepare wood, paper, canvas and canvas board for painting on and mixing paints in a systematic way. I'm going to show you a color palette I'd recommend starting with though you can just use what you have,  experimenting with a few techniques for your class project. Don't rush out to buy a set of acrylic paints until you have watched lesson seven, when I hope you'll have a better idea about what sort will suit you. Is show you lots of examples of illustrations I've done in different ways - but for all of them I used heavy body acrylic - at varying strengths. I'd recommend watching all the lessons before buying anything. Make notes as you go!

There's a free print for the first 25 students to upload a project. See the "Class Project" below for details..
