Overview

What is Audacity software?

Audacity is a free audio editor, both complete and easy to use. It can handle files in WAV, AIFF, OGG or MP3 format. If you need to make successful podcasts, if you need to edit music, if you need to record and improve your sound, if you want to create audio montages with multiple audio tracks, then Audacity will be made to you.

Audacity is the essential self-service software for anyone wishing to work with audio files.

Some of the functions of this software:

- Audacity can record live audio through a microphone or mixer, or digitize recordings from tapes, recordings, or mini-discs.

- Creation of WAV or AIFF files that can be used to burn to an audio CD.

- Export MP3 files with the optional LAME encoding library.

- Cut, Copy, Paste and Delete sound from your file.

- Change the pitch without altering the tempo (and vice versa).

- Remove buzzing, whistling or other constant background noise.

- Adjust the sound levels with compression and amplification effects.

- Add many sound effects to an audio track

In this training you will see step by step how to use the Audacity software to then work all your audio files simply and effectively.
