In this beginner’s class I shall take you on an adventure where you will learn everything you need to know about painting landscapes outdoors. From the supplies you need to deciding your composition and painting in a limited time frame.
Once I started carrying my sketchbook on my travels and around my city, it changed my perspective. When you paint a place you give a part of yourself to that place and a part of that place always stays with you. In this class I shall give you some tips on finding good compositions in ordinary places and empower you will the tools and techniques to paint landscapes outdoors.
This class will give you a plan on how to tackle painting a landscape outside, I’ll walk you through
- What materials to take and how to make the most of it
- What colours to select that are closest to nature
- How to create your own composition using the thumbnail approach
- Understanding the basic elements of a landscape (trees, foliage, mountains, and sky) and how to break it down into background, middleground and foreground
- As a bonus I shall show you how to take a picture of your painting
You just need to be someone who enjoys the outdoors and I shall teach you the rest. No prior art experience needed.
After this class you will feel motivated and confident to pack your paints, go outside and start sketching.
