Week 4: Meaning and Importance of Sociology of Education, Socialization-agencies of Socialization-family, Peer group, school and mass media, Culture- meaning, characteristics and relationship with education, role of school in preservation and promotion of culture Week 5: Social change-meaning, importance, factors affecting, role of education in social change, Social mobility- meaning & importance, types, role of education in promoting social mobility Week 6: Meaning and importance of teaching, Maxims of teaching, Devices of teaching-narration, explanation, description, questioning and illustrations, Strategies of teaching-Meaning, importance and characteristics, Innovative methods of teaching Project Based teaching, Team teaching.
