- A wonderful course!

- I liked the pedagogical approach the course used to attract attention from the first till the last step, with various activities (videos, articles, exercises and successful samples with analysis

- I liked the discussions, they was enriching

- What can be improved is the discussion section. It would be better if the instructors and course developers could interact with the learner comments to confirm what is good and give advice for what is wrong, so that other learners take full benefit from the comments.

- Suggestion: some funny (but instructive also) steps can also be added, like asking the recruiters what was the funniest moment in their recruiting experience...

- I hope I've provided beneficial and useful review, just like your course was to me.

Thank you!

The course is very comprehensive covering writing applications when applying for both jobs and programmes of study (courses). The lessons shared cover all aspects of the writing application process and include feedback from recruiters who review applications submitted to their firms and universities. The course developers did a very thorough job of presenting the material in an easy to learn fashion, with lots of videos, interactive elements and templates to help you record 'the story of you'.

Over the past three weeks, I have learnt key tips, guidelines and techniques that has impacted on me positively, especially in CV writing. I have also learnt practical steps to apply in selling myself (unique selling point) in my resumes and covering letter. Listening to experts/recruiters talk about what they expect from applicants has opened my eyes tremendously. The interactive videos, quizzes and comment sections also makes this course worthwhile and interesting.

Every second spent reviewing this course has been worth it. Personally, the course was well organized with lots of examples and downloadable materials. In particularly, the top tips from a range of recruiters and career professionals were enlightening and very useful. This course teaches participants to prepare well towards "Writing Applications", and I felt likewise, the preparation behind the scenes for the course was meticulously done. Merci.

This was an enormously helpful course. It provided excellent information and resources which made applying for jobs a much less daunting task. The material was concise, relevant and easily followed. The downloads were very useful to keep and use each time an application is required. The course covered a lot more than I expected (gaming for interviews).

I have renewed confidence in presenting a professional job application in future.

Parts of this course were useful and thought-provoking. Overall, however, I found it too simplistic and was frustrated by conflicting information. I'd recommend it to someone who 's at the start of their career, but I'd hesitate to recommend it to skilled professionals.

Sensibly structured and presented to give some clarity to the recruitment process and how to take advantage of current recruiter thinking.

There probably isn’t much to be said o how to avoid the groupthink endemic in the process.

Of necessity, examples are always of people who have shown leadership, done all manner of selfless activities, or worked well under stress.

Probably the audience for the course are a self defining group who have these abilities to call on, but what about the other fifty percent of candidates who are just ‘ordinary and a bit dim’. How do they get interviews and jobs?

This course is a must for any student/graduate embarking upon the daunting experience of job applications. Everything from the structure of the course, to how it's delivered, and additional materials provided is invaluable. Information is concise and made interactive with videos and graphics throughout.

Before starting this course I felt clueless about the methods and techniques for CV writing, cover letters, LinkedIn and application writing. I now have confidence that I can write a stand out application from what I've learned. I wish I knew about this course sooner!

The course gave a very clear, all-round insight into all key elements required for writing CVs, Covering letters and personal statements as well as a small insight into other recruiters' methods such as Gamification. Whilst the course would be excellent for Graduates or employees just starting out on the Career Ladder-I would wonder if there could be an additional section for people who have lots of experience (20years plus) for example, and whose decisions about changing jobs and looking at new positions is just as daunting and even more complex.

Thoroughly enjoyed this course! It had the perfect balance between videos, articles and activities and kept me engaged throughout. It has taught me invaluable lessons on how to approach applications - an area that I had little knowledge of before - and has enabled me to re-do my CV to make it more engaging for the person reading it. I particularly enjoyed the videos of people from recruitment fairs as they gave very helpful pieces of advice from many different job sectors - one of which was a recruiter for the company I want to apply for!

The sample CV's, covering letters, and personal statements tailored for different situations were incredibly helpful, as well as the worksheets or tips provided at the end of each lesson. The addition of interviewing recruiters for different stages of the application process was a great insight of what we should and shouldn't do in the application.

What would greatly improve this course would be to encourage more interaction between the audience, such as giving better prompts at the end of the lesson and asking questions.

I have really enjoyed this course. I joined because I have been rejected by different scholarships and was looking to improve my skills for writing applications in order to have a compelling application next year. I learned a lot, everything is well explained and concise, so you can advance even if you have limited time. I would recommend this course to anyone looking to apply to anything, from university to scholarships and jobs. I'm looking forward to taking the next course about interviews and get that funding!

I found the excercises led me to think about previous applications I had made which had failed. I also find that my applications tended to be too narrow in their outlook and didn't emphasise my experiences outside the confines of the employment type. This means that in the future I will be submitting better applications for jobs.

The structure of the course was good, meaning that the knowledge built up in a way which meant it was easier to remember what you had learned and how to apply that knowledge.

Lots of good information on auditing your skills, writing CVs, covering letters, personal statements, applications forms, with tips on how to answer different types of questions. It focused on either applying for university courses, or applying for your first job after university, with many of the examples tied to those situations. Much of the information though is applicable for more mature/experienced applicants.

Very worthwhile course.
