Overview

This course aims to introduce high school students in STEM programs to R and Python programming as well as Bioinformatics. The learning outcomes include gaining proficiency in R and Python programming, understanding statistical analysis, data visualization, and computational biology analysis. The course teaches skills such as coding in R and Python, conducting statistical analysis, creating data visualizations, and performing computational biology analysis. The intended audience for this course is high school students participating in STEM, SEED, Future Scientist (FSP), and IU Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center Summer Research (SRP) programs.
