Was very informing and much will be taken in my monthly writings to others for Racial and social justice trainings and needs .

Clint Smith is a fantastic writer and host of this Crash Course series. He eloquently details the lives of characters that impacted early African American history, as well as the laws that were put on the books that regulated the lives of Black people. Learning the stories of characters such as Elizabeth Key Grinstead and the way the law was changed to create less likelihood for success stories like hers should be required for all students to understand the effects of slavery on the society and culture that we live in. African American history is a study that is receiving the mainstream attention that it has long deserved.

I loved Clint Smith III before this and think this course is needed and very well done! Thank you for this course!

This subject is essential and compelling, and the course is incredibly well presented. The instructor Clint Smith III (author of the great book How the Word is Passed) INVITES us to learn really hard things in a way that's so clear and gentle, it recruits us to share the lessons we take away with as many people as we can.

The course was informative. It provided detailed information on key events but didn't overburden you with too much information that you wouldn't be able to comprehend. I recommend the course to those wanting to learn more about black-American History.

The material is easy to follow as well as allowing me to do additional research.
It would be beneficial to share in schools, showing the truth is not a threat but a reality.
