Overview
This course aims to teach participants how to find the best fit for flood frequency analyses by exploring curve fitting approaches and understanding the sensitivity of results to selected parameters. The course covers topics such as flood frequency analyses overview, RMC-BestFit Software overview, Bayesian flood frequency conclusions, and HEC-SSP. Participants will learn about distribution fitting, Bayesian estimation, regional regression techniques, identifying outliers, and interpreting confidence limits. The teaching method includes presenter introductions, demonstrations, and a Q&A session. This course is intended for professionals working in the fields of hydrology, water resources, or environmental engineering who are involved in flood risk assessment and management.
