This course aims to teach learners how to integrate CERN Software Distribution with Docker. By the end of the course, students will be able to understand how physicists are transitioning their workloads into containers, integrate CVMFS into Docker using a Volume plugin, mount repositories, utilize tags and hashes for repository states, and optimize data access via Docker storage drivers. The course employs a session-based teaching method and is intended for individuals interested in the intersection of software distribution, containerization, and data analysis, particularly within the context of CERN's infrastructure and experiments.
