This course provides foundational understanding of what a Product Enterprise can be, why it makes sense to build one, identifies key roles and provides an approach to shape the transformation journey. It builds critical expertise around:

● Product driven business capabilities that power multiple value streams

● Creation of a Portfolio strategy that enables creation & use of scalable, reusable technical capabilities

● A framework for prioritization that maximizes long-term business value alongside customer centricity

● Business Model design that aligns product value streams to business capabilities to technical platforms and solutions

● An operational model to accelerate modernization of complex outdated systems into state of the art cloud-based apps

Syllabus

Week 1: Business Architecture

o Capability centric enterprise view that powers multiple products in a portfolio and aligns to technical platforms consisting of reusable services that build a highly efficient value delivery mechanism at scale

Week 2: Portfolio Prioritization & Enterprise Funding Models

o Apply value-centric prioritization frameworks at enterprise level and align funding to maximize ROI while managing risks and competing fiercely in the marketplace

Week 3: Managing end-to-end Product Lifecycle

o Initial product launch (0-1) to continuous discovery and delivery frameworks that constantly add incremental value through various product lifecycle stages

Week 4: Product Portfolio & Business Model

o Shaping a product portfolio, defining optimization and funding strategies including deceleration and rationalization

o Creating a product-centric Business Model
