Made for UI/ UX Design Professionals
Figma is the industry-standard tool for digital product design. Whether you have two or twenty years of experience in the field, if you want to bring your Figma skills to the next level and have your colleagues asking, "How'd you do that?" then this course is for you.
That said, this is NOT a beginner course. Students will be expected to have a solid understanding of UI/UX principles as well as baseline proficiency with Figma.
1 - How to build flexible UI layouts with ease and agility using auto layout, hug and fill, absolute positioning, and techniques for fluid sizing and spacing2 - How to create your own design system using design tokens with variables and styles to make stronger, future-proof color, spacing, sizing, and typography choices3 - How to assemble a library of flexible, reusable, and nested UI components that are easy to use in collaboration with developers and design teams4 - How to make your design practice in Figma more nimble, system-oriented, and well-organized

WEEK 1 - Constructing Flexible Layouts
Use auto layout to set up and manage flow direction, alignment, and padding. Make layouts that adapt to their contents and containers by using intrinsic widths and heights.

WEEK 2 - Fundamentals of Reusable Components
Establish icon systems for better integration across your component library. Build robust components for UI elements like buttons and tags with straightforward properties for easy reuse.

WEEK 3 - Building Complex and Versatile Components
Continue to build on your knowledge of components and expand your library into a more comprehensive and robust system. Explore the pros and cons of various approaches to building components like tables and data grids.

WEEK 4 - Creating Design Tokens with Variables
Build color palettes that differentiate between base color values, semantic colors, and component-specific colors. Establish flexible and expressive systems for typographic styles to use throughout your designs, across platforms and channels.
