  • Another great introductory class from the University of Leeds. This is targeted toward students wanting to learn medicinal chemistry and study the development of new drugs and targeted therapies for cancer. It is still a great introduction for anyone...

I am a community health nurse working in a cancer screening program. I know nothing about the cancer drugs that are used for treatment. This course was excellent for providing basics and for pointing me in the right direction and motivating me to learn more.

As a cancer patient about to start chemotherapy and targeted therapies I wanted to understand more about the treatments I am about to start. I found it very interesting and pitched about right for what I need to know.

Very interesting and well organized, using videos and readings as well as short quizzes and exercises. I only wish it could have been longer and talked more about the various treatments that are in use now, as well as those coming up in the future.

A good all round overview of cancer and cancer medicines. As an older person, not looking to return to University, I found the course easy to follow, with plenty of additional references, both from the educators and from other students. I would recommend this course, along with the other on-line courses in the series, to anyone hoping to study chemistry, medicine or medicinal chemistry.
