Google Cloud Fundamentals: Core Infrastructure introduces important concepts and terminology for working with Google Cloud. Through videos and hands-on labs, this course presents and compares many of Google Cloud's computing and storage services, along with important resource and policy management tools.
This section welcomes learners to the Google Cloud Fundamentals: Core Infrastructure course, and provides an overview of the course structure and goals.
Introducing Google Cloud
This section identifies some of the key benefits of using Google Cloud. It's here that we introduce the components of the Google network infrastructure, and explore the differences between infrastructure as a service (IaaS) and platform as a service (PaaS).
Resources and Access in the Cloud
This section explores how resources get organized with projects, and how access to those resources gets shared with the right part of a workforce through a tool called Identity and Access Management (IAM). It's also in this section that we identify different ways to interact with Google Cloud.
Virtual Machines and Networks in the Cloud
This section of the course explores how Google Compute Engine works, with a focus on virtual networking.
Storage in the Cloud
This section of the course showcases five core Google Cloud storage products: Cloud Storage, Cloud Bigtable, Cloud SQL, Cloud Spanner, and Firestore.
Containers in the Cloud
This section of the course explores containers and how they can be managed with Kubernetes and Google Kubernetes Engine.
Applications in the Cloud
The focus of this section of the course is developing applications in the cloud. It's here that we'll explore Cloud Run and Cloud Functions.
In this final section, we review what was presented in this course and discuss the next steps to continue your cloud learning journey.

This course gives an overview of the different services/products that are part of the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The videos are basically webcasts - slides + some person talking. The course also contains labs which give you hands-on experience. The labs are not part of Coursera and can be found here: https://codelabs.developers.google.com/
I was looking to move my website from my current cloud provider as it is getting expensive. I have dabbled in GCP before, but it always felt a bit overwhelming. The course provided me with a good overview of the entire ecosystem and now I feel I should choose GCP as my provider.
The course is very basic and I wouldn't say I know how to use GCP. It probably took me five hours to finish it.
The videos are a bit long, but the labs are very clear and give the whole view of the essential functionalities. I would rather say that the tests are easy. This is a brave training that tries to show many aspects of the google cloud platform.
Taken as a part of Cloud Architect with Google Cloud Platform specialization. Decent course providing a lot of labs and focused on practical aspects and exercises.
It seems that Coursera was used as a channel to get people to codelabs.developers.google.com where the labs are. The course only shows 1 week and it's easy to lose your spot because of the dozens of tabs for each module (varying between 2 minutes and 10 minutes). The presentation is stale... although this isn't uncommon for this kind of material. But I enjoyed the hands-on labs. Excellent explanations and details. I didn't have any trouble.
All-in-all, this course helped introduce me to Google Cloud Platform but more effort could've been put into it.
i think that it was the best thing that i ever had in my life its very easy and simple to do it , but one thing is that sometimes it lags and close the window and then you havw to do it from the first part

Greate course i have learned lot of things form this course and I have to share with friend this course
This subject is very useful to me. I am very happy to inform to complete the course. Google Cloud Platform Fundamentals: Core Infrastructure was very useful.
Having been on gcp adoption journey for a while now, took this course as part of architecture with Google cloud specialization.
Found the content to be good and explanations were just enough to get a high-level introduction.
Found the labs to be quite interesting however the labs experience could have been improved by not having to login for each section.
Would recommend for any one wanting to get a good overview of gcp ecosystem.
