This course follows on from Data Mining with Weka and More Data Mining with Weka. It provides a deeper account of specialized data mining tools and techniques. Again the emphasis is on principles and practical data mining using Weka, rather than mathematical theory or advanced details of particular algorithms. Students will analyse time series data, mine data streams, use Weka to access other data mining packages including the popular R statistical computing language, script Weka in Python, and deploy it within a cluster computing framework. The course also includes case studies of applications such as classifying tweets, functional MRI data, image classification, and signal peptide prediction.

I am just studying in the second week of the "Advanced Data Mining with Weka" . This is one of the best machine learning courses I have taken so far. I have already learned to make time series analysis with Weka and I am taking on the the built-in as well as standalone versions of MOA (Massive Online Analysis) for real-time data stream mining and prediction. You don't lean so much from the videos as you learn from the exercises, so it's really a learning-by-doing course. Also, there are many more Weka experts giving the course, each contributing with his/her own domain knowledge, which is another great benefit. Things to follow include lessons on the incorporation of Python, R, Hadoop and Apache Spark, as well as scripting in Weka (I would really like to see how to do this one, because there are not enough literature available online). All these further extend its capabilities and make it one of the leading and most versatile data mining softwares available.
