via Pluralsight

Overview

Fusion 360 is a cloud based CAD system growing in popularity and functionality. This course is an introduction to Fusion 360 for people who have used SolidWorks in the past.

This course will take a look at Fusion 360 from the eyes of someone very new to the tool with long history using other 3D CAD tools, specifically SolidWorks. In this course, Fusion 360 for SOLIDWORKS Users, you will learn how to model a basic toggle clamp with an introduction in how to create extrusion, cuts, sweeps, and revolves. First, you'll see the toggle clamp parts and how they are assembled together. Next, you'll see the creation of the linkage, lever, and end piece. Finally, you'll look at updating the toggle clamp based on some markups received after a design review. When you're finished with this course, you will have a foundational knowledge of Fusion 360 as well as an understanding of how to overcome potential pitfalls and frustrations migrating from SolidWorks. Software required: Fusion 360 2.0.1909.
