How to create Illustrated Characters using Procreate

via Skillshare

Overview

Hi and welcome to this skillshare class on how to create illustrated characters with lots of textures using Procreate.

In this class I will teach you:
1. Simple basics of head shapes and angles
2. Simple eyes, mouth, nose and earshape

Then we take it a level up with:
3. How to translate from human reference to illustrated character
4. How to apply shadows and highlights to get more depth
5. Creating fun and stylized hair
6. Discover and play with more textures to create interest.

Shorty said I will teach you everything you need to know so you can create your own characters with lots of texture. I will take you step by step into my workflow and thinking proces. You can follow me along but I will encourage you to create and translate to your own liking.

This class is meant for people who have already have a little bit knowledge about the app Procreate so not for true beginners because this is not a class about Procreate itself.
But it is very step by step in real time (so pause and rewind if needed) so everyone can try to follow along.

This class is specially made for the Procreate user, so you will be needing an iPad with the app Procreate on it and a pressure sensitive stylus.

I’ve provided a special texturized canvas and a fun brush set for this class so feel free to get it and import it to your procreate.

So If you are as excited as I am about this class then come in and have some illustration fun together.
See you in class!
