The country’s economic growth depends on the long-term availability of the energy resources that are accessible, affordable and eco-friendly. Increasing demands for fossil fuels have led to over exploitation of natural resources with adverse effects on environment and human health. Energy efficiency and its conservation is one of the best ways to bridge the gap between demand and supply. Energy consumption also has a significant impact on the natural environment. There is clear evidence that climate change is caused by human activity mostly related to the use of energy.
