is taking this course right now, spending 5 hours a week on it and found the course difficulty to be easy.
I really liked the course.the course is very well organised and upto the mark. Along with videos on mathematical economics, I also liked the last video on how to communicate in mooc discussion forum. The coordinator and her team must have put lot of efforts and made proper planning before starting this course. I am a assistant professor in economics always wanted to learn econometrics n mathematical economics, but could not get time , the foreign course on same were difficult to understand due to their language pronouciation, but this Indian course is very very good and easy to understand.looking forward to you for a series of such courses taking us from basic to advanced learning of the subject. Shikha mam, I have become your fan.thank you.
The course is organized and well supplemented with e- text/notes, real life case studies, examples , videos & supplemented readings. I would say that the teachers are really working hard & has been assisting/ supporting us via whatsapp group. From very basic to very advanced , they have covered each topic relevant to Mathematical Economics. Also, the quality of videos is awesome with use of animation & visualization make it interactive & engaging.
Course content needs some improvement. Some ungraded assignment questions are not discussed in the material provided. References need to be provided in every etext. Use of familiar concepts, terms and definitions would be more helpful. Eg in case of demand and supply curves the convention is to measure price on y axis and quantity on X axis. The reverse presentation may be confusing for undergraduate students.
It is very helpful in understanding the role of mathematics in economics. This course provide vedio, e texts, assignments for assessment of the learners. It also provides discussion forum to clear queries... So it is very good platform for those who keen to learn the various angles of mathematical economics.
Simply Excellent! The hardwork of the Team is clearly visible. Videos have been made after lot of planning so that the concepts are explained in very easy and interesting manner. Recommended for all people thinking of taking any MOOCs related to Mathematics or Economics.
This is Dr. Mahendra from Mumbai. I am spending around four hours a week for this course and like this course very much. The subject is difficult but made easy and understandable with this course. It shows the dedication of course coordinator and her.
This course is very interesting and useful with practical illustrations and video lectures. This course is useful not only for faculties but also for researchers and business concerns. The syllabus is of international standard and I really enjoy.
is taking this course right now, spending 10 hours a week on it and found the course difficulty to be medium.

The organising team ( including the teacher-guide – Ms Sikha Ahmad ), has poured in much effort in delivering quality content through the optimum use of audio-visual tools, PDF notes and not to mention they've harnessed social media (Gmail & especially WhatsApp) excellently. There is a group on WhatsApp which facilitates the process of learning. The discussion forum is obviously present but the WhatsApp group seems to be more feasible to me personally. Many discussions, even if they're not completely related to Mathematical Economics or the syllabus of the course, happen and the teacher provides her inputs and guidance. She would also link the discussion with how Mathematics can be applied to the situation in discussion. This is how learning should be ! ☺️
This course was very useful and I learnt more about mathematical economics and its application under different concepts. I feel still more examples can be given for better understanding of the concepts. Regarding the matrix chapter little more understanding of the subject matter is needed especially for the beginners. The course contents are highly appreciable and I request you to go for the second part of this where you could cover other aspects of mathematical economics. I sincerely thank the government for arranging such type of course and I would prefer to join the second part also. A special word of thanks to the course coordinator for her efforts and involvement in her teachings and guidance. My heartfelt thanks to every individual who are part of this programme. Thank you so much.
First, I like to congratulate and appreciate the effort put on by Prof.Sikha Ahmad and her team. I have done two courses on mathematics and statistics in my UG and PG,(long back......) but since I have to reequip myself, I registered for this course, ..... and to tell the fact, it seemed like I am listening for the first time everything in a well organized method of teaching. The pedagogy followed is simply superb. The e-notes is easy to follow. I never thought that learning through on-line would be so enthusiastic. I have to thank Prof. Sikha Ahmad for her wonderful delivery in making me understand and realize the richness of Economics and Mathematics. I expect more like this from Prof. Sikha Ahmad. And I also want the thank Swayam for bringing this into everybody's home.
