Overview

ABOUT THE COURSE: We are emotional beings. We cannot imagine human life without diverse emotional experiences. Emotions are integral to every aspect of our life and psychology. Emotions have purpose and we need to handle them with curiosity, understanding and wisdom. This course will provide a comprehensive understanding and applications of the psychology of emotions and emotional intelligence. This course will address some major questions associated with the scientific study of emotions, such as-What are emotions? Are they universal or culture specific? How they influence our brain and body? What happens when we are not able to manage emotions? Are there emotion based psychological disorders? Can we learn to regulate destructive emotions? What are positive emotions and happiness? Can we enhance them to experience more satisfaction in our life? What is emotional intelligence? Why it is so important for success and satisfaction in our personal and professional life? Can we learn the skills of emotional intelligence?
