Overview
The course teaches how to build a large format 3D printer with an industrial build envelope of 4’x4’x4’. The learning outcomes include constructing OpenBuilds C-beam linear actuators, upgrading them for high-temperature operation, and assembling them into a cartesian system. The course covers critical speed, actuator design, carriage assembly, wiring, and linear motion testing. The intended audience is DIY enthusiasts interested in creating large-scale 3D printers.
