This course teaches students how to identify different types of conic sections when given equations in standard or general form. The course covers finding the vertex of a parabola, as well as the center of an ellipse, circle, and hyperbola. Students will practice completing the square to identify the conic and learn to identify the conic using A and B. The teaching method involves practical applications and tips in short online math tutorials. The intended audience for this course is pre-calculus students looking to improve their understanding of conic sections.
