Overview
This course aims to highlight the connection between the climate crisis and gender-based violence using Kimberlé Crenshaw’s theory of intersectionality. The learning outcomes include understanding how climate change exacerbates socio-political issues, particularly gender-based violence in vulnerable communities. The course teaches the skill of analyzing the impact of climate change on different societal problems and the importance of focusing on communities directly affected by climate change. The teaching method is a TEDx talk format, and the intended audience is individuals interested in the intersection of climate change, gender issues, and social impact.
