Overview
This course covers the concepts of apparent magnitude and absolute magnitude in astronomy. Students will learn how to differentiate between the brightness of stars based on their distance from Earth. The teaching method involves a video lecture followed by a Lecture Tutorial. This course is intended for individuals interested in gaining a basic understanding of stellar magnitudes in astronomy.
Syllabus
Intro
Do all stars appear the same? How are they different?

Apparent Magnitudes
PROBLEM: stars are at different distances from Earth and so it's hard to know which stars are ACTUALLY brighter versus which APPEAR bright
