Overview
This course focuses on utilizing documentation-driven development to reduce the occurrence of API integration failures in Python web APIs. The learning outcomes include understanding the importance of structured API documentation and implementing API specifications before developing the API server and client. Students will learn to use mock servers for client testing, tools like Dredd and schemathesis for backend validation, and integrating these tools into a CI server for code validation pre-release. The intended audience for this course includes developers, software engineers, and anyone working with Python web APIs.
