Overview
This course teaches a high-speed stateful packet processing approach for Tbps programmable switches. The learning outcomes include understanding how to extend programmable switches with external memory and external packet processing devices to perform stateful operations efficiently. The course covers the skills of transmitting relevant bits to processing devices, leveraging spare bandwidth for storing incoming payloads, and processing high volumes of traffic through stateful packet processing pipelines. The teaching method involves presenting a system called RIBOSOME and evaluating its performance in processing network traffic. The intended audience for this course includes network engineers, system architects, and professionals interested in high-speed packet processing technologies.
