Overview
This course covers the learning outcomes and goals of using RNA sequencing as a complement to DNA genetic testing. Students will learn about RNA-sequencing technologies and how they aid in understanding and diagnosing genetic diseases. The course teaches skills such as molecular biology, nonsense RNA sequencing, differential gene expression analysis, alternative splicing analysis, and sequencing approaches. The teaching method includes a webinar format with a presentation by Dr. Karam. The intended audience for this course includes individuals interested in genetic testing, molecular biology, and genetic disease diagnosis.
