When It Comes to Heart and Brain Disorders, Sex Matters

This course explores how exposures to stress and other factors during prenatal development impact major depression and cardiovascular disease differently based on sex. The learning outcomes include understanding the origins of health issues, recognizing the impact of fetal environment on males and females, and identifying differences in disease onset, expression, and treatment responses. The course teaches the importance of considering sex differences in health research and practice. The teaching method is a TED Talk format lasting for 15 minutes.
