Amazon FSx for OpenZFS is a fully managed file storage service that offers high reliability, scalability, and performance. This course builds on the Getting Started with AWS Storage course. You will first learn how to quickly create and connect to an Amazon FSx for OpenZFS file system. Then, you will learn how to configure, deploy, and monitor an Amazon FSx for OpenZFS file system.

Course objectives

In this course, you will learn to:

  • Perform the basic tasks required to start using your Amazon FSx for OpenZFS file system, and describe how to configure it.
  • Explain how to create an Amazon FSx for OpenZFS file system using the AWS Management Console with Standard Create.
  • Change the configuration options in the Amazon FSx for OpenZFS file system using the AWS Management Console.
  • Prepare for Amazon FSx for OpenZFS deployment and deploy using AWS CloudFormation.
  • Explain the ways that you can check the status of and monitor your Amazon FSx for OpenZFS deployment.
  • Explain how Amazon CloudWatch metrics can help measure resources and keep you updated on changes to your file system resources.
