This course aims to help participants understand the importance of Groundwater Dependent Ecosystems (GDEs) in groundwater management decision making. By exploring the GDE Atlas, participants will learn how to access and utilize standardized GDE data for visualizing, analyzing, and downloading information without specialized software. The course covers topics such as the role of groundwater in sustaining ecosystems, types of GDEs, national and regional data, and the functionalities of the GDA Interface. The teaching method involves a webinar format with a presenter demonstrating the data and tools available in the Atlas.
