This course covers Unity's powerfulAR Foundation toolset for creating augmented reality apps for both Android and iOS. It covers everything from placing objects in AR to advanced UI and object manipulation. In Part 1 of the course, students will learn how to place objects in AR combined with custom textures. Part 2 covers how to select objects to spawn and the process of blocking AR input from UI Touch. The rest of course focuses on creating an IKEA AR clone app, starting with loading assets using Addressables in Part 8. Students will learn how to use Addressables with Google Cloud in Part 9, how to migrate the project to Unity 2020 in Part 10, how to place objects using XR Interaction Toolkit in Part 11, and how to manipulate objects in AR (Select, Rotate, Translate, Scale) in Part 12. By the end of the course, students will be able to create engaging and interactive augmented reality apps with Unity.
