Overview
This course explores how epistemic structural realism (ESR) can provide a theoretical framework for studying consciousness and its neurophysiological phenomena. The learning outcomes include understanding the application of ESR in the study of consciousness and differentiating between ESR and ontic structural realism (OSR). The course teaches skills in analyzing the structure of relations between objects and emphasizes continuity across theory changes. The teaching method involves argumentation and critical analysis.
