Overview
This course focuses on periodically and quasi-periodically driven complex systems in the field of Floquet Engineering and Topological Nonlinear Optics. The learning outcomes include understanding closed quantum systems with time-dependent Hamiltonians, open quantum systems, and the gauge theory of coupling between matter and radiation. Participants will learn about topics such as Terahertz and Infrared driven quantum matter, Shaken Optical Lattices and Cold Atoms, Floquet time crystals, and more. The teaching method involves a program that brings together different communities to explore the interplay between theory and experiment in these areas. This course is intended for researchers and professionals interested in quantum simulation experiments and the dynamics of gauge theories.
