Overview
This course delves into Ethiopian grade 10 history by focusing on unit 3 parts one and two. During part one, students study the rise of autocracy within the Ethiopian Empire. Special attention is paid to how authoritarianism shaped Ethiopian government and society over the years. Part two covers the diarchy, a dual power between Haile Salassie and Zewditu. Students study how their relationship of cooperation and competition impacted Ethiopian politics and the country as a whole. Through course readings, assignments, and discussions, students gain a thorough understanding of the various periods of Ethiopian history and the impact these have had in the present day.
