Processing and Shaping Optical Fiber

This course covers the learning outcomes and goals of understanding the intrinsic characteristics of optical fiber and the various processing techniques involved. Students will learn about splicing multicore fibers, lensing fiber tips, and different fiber processing procedures. The course teaches skills such as processing different types of fibers, controlling and providing feedback mechanisms, and working with soft glass, multi-core, structured core, and lensed fibers.
