Vasopressors - Inodilators, Inopressors, Pure Vasopressors, Methylene Blue, Midodrine

The course covers the following learning outcomes and goals: understanding the different types of vasopressors including Inodilators, Inopressors, Pure Vasopressors, Methylene Blue, and Midodrine; learning about the indications, titration parameters, advantages, and disadvantages of each type of vasopressor; gaining knowledge on the common methods of administering vasopressors to patients. The course teaches the individual skills of identifying when to use specific vasopressors, understanding how to titrate vasopressors based on patient needs, and recognizing the advantages and disadvantages of different vasopressors. Additionally, students will learn about the administration of vasopressors through peripheral IV and central venous catheter, as well as orally in the case of Midodrine. The teaching method of the course involves a lecture format where Professor Zach Murphy presents the information on vasopressors, discussing each type in detail along with their respective indications, titration parameters, and advantages/disadvantages.
