We’ve collected 100 online resources including courses, videos, practice tests, mobile apps and books to help you prepare for the TOEFL test.

Passing the TOEFL test may be required to study abroad, start a new job in an English-speaking environment, or immigrate to an English-speaking country. More than 12,000 institutions in over 160 countries accept TOEFL scores. It is definitely one of the most popular language tests in the world. An estimated 2.3 million students take the TOEFL each year.

Class Central lists close to 1,400 online courses to learn a new language at beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels. The vast majority of those online courses teach English and some of them prepare students for standardized English tests, like the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language).

We researched courses and other resources for preparing for the TOEFL test and compiled the following list of free and paid choices, including online courses, practice websites, mobile apps, YouTube videos, vocabulary flashcards, podcasts, and guide books. But first, let us walk you through some useful information about the TOEFL test.
