Introduction to CNI, the Container Network Interface Project

This course aims to introduce users and developers to the Container Network Interface (CNI) project, providing a broad overview of CNI, its specifications, and its relationship to Kubernetes. By the end of the course, learners will understand how CNI works, how to call a plugin, the configuration format, plugin chaining, and how to get involved in the project. The teaching method includes presentations and discussions on CNI as open source, recent changes, FAQs, multiple interfaces, IPv6 support, executing binaries, tuning, and relevant links. The intended audience for this course is individuals with little previous knowledge of container networking who are interested in understanding the critical role of CNI in linking runtimes like Kubernetes and CloudFoundry to various container network implementations.
