Overview
This course on Turbulence in Geophysical Fluid Dynamics aims to teach students about the fluid dynamics of the atmosphere and ocean and their impact on climate processes. The course covers topics such as turbulent dynamics and convection in the ocean, monsoon dynamics, dynamical systems approach to climate models, and machine learning techniques for atmosphere-ocean processes. The teaching method involves lectures by experts in the field. The intended audience for this course is students across the country, with a focus on Masters students and final year undergraduate degree students, with no prior background in climate-atmosphere-ocean dynamics required.
