Explore the world of analytics and develop skills to grow your career

Running a successful online business often requires a good working knowledge of web analytics. On this course, you will explore the basics of analytics, different types of analytics and why they are important for business. You will discover concepts including segmentation and benchmarking and explore five steps to creating a measurement plan.

You will also learn the processes involved in creating a successful online business, including measuring objectives, outcomes and continually improving. And finally, you will learn how to apply analytics, looking particularly at Google Analytics.

This course is for anyone with an interest in web analytics who is looking to develop their entrepreneurial skills, preparing to enter the workplace or looking to change careers. No prior experience or qualifications required.

Niven completed this course, spending 2 hours a week on it and found the course difficulty to be medium.
As a Web Developer I came into this course looking to increase my knowledge of Web analytics.

After week one, I realised I probably wasn't going to get the upskilling I was hoping for, as I already have a decent grounding in the role marketing and analytics plays, from previous roles and experience.

And because of that, I skipped the assignment.

So my rating is based off of what I saw in the curriculum and what would be beneficial for those just starting out or looking to add a new skill to their digital tool belt.

I would absolutely recommend this to newbies or older heads who haven't already adapted to the new world of online marketing.

This course gives you a great grounding in what Web analytics is, how to get data and what role your analysis of the data, either manually or through dedicated tools like Google Analytics, plays.
