Study Group for A Life of Happiness & Fulfillment (ALOHAF)

Study Groups are an ongoing project at Class Central. You can think of them as a book club, but instead of reading a book, we’re taking an online course together with learners worldwide, supporting each other through a discussion forum, and meeting weekly for a chat. Check below for details on our new Study Groups.

Intro to Marketing Study Group

Introduction to Marketing is offered by the Wharton School of Business of the University of Pennsylvania on Coursera. We’ll learn about marketing, from branding to go-to-market strategies. How to stand out amid other companies? How to address customers’ needs? How to successfully launch a product? These are some of the questions we’ll explore.

Our Plan — Intro to Marketing

Here’s the study group in a nutshell:

  • Free to audit course: Introduction to Marketing by Wharton.
  • Schedule: 4 weeks long, 2–3 hours a week, starting on October 21st.
  • Discussion forum: to discuss our learning and support each other.
  • Weekly Zoom sessions: to chat with other study group members on Wednesdays.
  • Coordinator: @fabio
  • Certificate: Only with upgrade on Coursera.

Dino 101 Study Group

Dino 101: Dinosaur Paleobiology is offered by the University of Alberta on Coursera. We’ll learn about dinosaurs, these reptiles from a distant past that have captured the human imagination. How many species were there? How did they hunt? And how did they disappear? These are some of the questions we’ll explore.

Our Plan — Dino 101

Here’s the study group in a nutshell:

  • Free to audit course: Dino 101: Dinosaur Paleobiology by University of Alberta.
  • Schedule: 4 weeks long, 3–4 hours a week, starting on October 25th.
  • Discussion forum: to discuss our learning and support each other.
