This course on Invertebrate Paleontology covers topics such as fossil preservation, taxonomy, evolution, speciation, life's origins, extinctions, and various invertebrate phyla including Porifera, Cnidaria, Brachiopoda, Bryozoa, Arthropoda, Mollusca, Echinodermata, Foraminifera, Hemichordata, Chordata, and trace fossils/ichnofacies. The course aims to teach students about the modes of fossil preservation, evolution and phylogeny, and the characteristics and classifications of different invertebrate groups.
